Senior Swimmer Jacob LaDue Earns Section V Scholarship Award

Rochester, N.Y. – Senior Jacob LaDue (pictured) has been awarded Section V’s Boys Swimming and Diving Scholarship award. This is the first year that Section V is awarding scholarships to seniors in every male and female sport contested in Section V.

LaDue has swam 6 years for HAC, including 4 years on the varsity team. He was named a 1st Team Genesee Region All Star for both his junior and senior swim seasons and is a 2-time Genesee Region Swim League Champion in both the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard individual medley. LaDue concluded his outstanding swimming career with a 26th overall finish in the 100-yard freestyle (48.44) at the New York Boys Federation Championship.

Throughout his athletics career, he’s also participated in baseball and on the varsity track and field team. LaDue will pursue studying environmental science at the University of Vermont this upcoming fall and plans to join the water polo and ultimate frisbee clubs.
